In the ShaPID flagship project, the Fraunhofer Society is conducting application-oriented preliminary development work aimed at further strengthening and establishing green chemical processes.

The spectrum of developments ranges from new synthetic chemical approaches using new catalyst concepts, reactive species, or electrochemical processes to the process engineering intensification of continuous synthesis processes and their energy- and resource-efficient control and regulation using new methods of digitalization and automation.
